Chezhiyan is a national award winning film director from Tamil, whose debut film earned best regional film award. He has been a successful cinematographer in the industry before he ventured into film direction through 2017 film, To Let.

This Tamil film earned 65th National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.

He received Edison Award and Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards for Best Cinematographer, while earned nominations at SIIMA and Vijay Film Awards in Best Cinematography category.

Chezhiyan was born in Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu.
